Reflection

OMG! I'm very happy and grateful because finally I already done third grading period. I've learned a lot. I earned more friends and I earned more memories or happy moments also. Especially to our two beautiful practice teachers and also to our loving, caring and understanding subject teacher, Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz. 

ICT is useful and helpful. It’s an application of modern technology to interact and share information among people all fields and develop science through technology. As one of the ICT functions is to help people developing education, it is good for educators and the manager to develop their knowledge and transfer it to people. Moreover, through ICT, the work on the job field can be done more effectively. As a teacher or an instructor, he can develop material and the way of teaching to the students by elaborating the element of the subject in order that the material is easy received by the students. So far, ICT gives easiness to run the teaching learning process.

I learned how to use Microsoft FrontPage. And luckily, it’s easier and faster in doing my other activity. L really learned a lot. Thanks to you teachers. 

New Year, New Me

New year, New me. Many says and think that when they heard the word New me, they only say that they need to make some changes to their body, faces and etc. Many change their hair, dress or fashion just to make or do the New Me word but for me , it’s not.

New Year, my favorite holiday, is one of the most celebrated days in the world. The day is shaped by different customs and traditions. My new year is my favorite holiday. Because this day or moment, I can do everything what I want. Something like I’m free. I know that new year is the best holiday of all people and I see that in many faces. The new year started with joy and happy times. I ended the year with smile. 2012 days. I celebrated my new year with my love ones. My family. My relatives. My friends. And my someone. Being happy is not bad. It is freely made by everyone. And I think this is the only day where everyone is free also.

So, what's happened over the last year? Well, there are some conflicts. But in the end, we’re still okay. Last year, I realized myself that there is something I need to change. Like my character or my attitude. I realized also to be careful of everything what I am going to do or go because base from the news that I heard, everything and everywhere are dangerous. So I need to be careful of everything that I will do. New year new beginning. I need also to focus seriously on my studies. ‘Cause I think from the past days I’m not serious so my grades got low.

Now, then the new year came, January 1, I said to myself that “This is now the time”. And I noticed myself from the past few days that all I want to do is coming true. And I did it. Thank God! I did it. 

The Essence of Christmas

One of the most popular traditions on Christmas is exchanging gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning. Everyone loves receiving gifts on Christmas. Children, with their innocence wait eagerly for Santa Claus to bring them gifts. In many countries children hang stockings believing that it will be filled with goodies by Santa Claus. But, as adults we understand the significance of giving more than receiving and plan way ahead to get something thoughtful for our near and dear ones.

When we were children we were grateful to those who filled our stockings at Christmas  time. Why are we not grateful to God for filling our stockings with legs? When we recall Christmas past, we usually find that the simplest things-not the great occasions-give off the greatest glow of happiness.  Let us get back our childlike faith again. What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.

          Christmas tree is one of the symbols most easily associated with the festival of Christmas. The Christmas tree takes the pride of place in every living room of every home from Christmas and right up to New Year. Decorating a Christmas tree spells family time as it brings the whole family together right before and at Christmas time. Usually decorations start way ahead of the eve of Christmas. One can get as creative or individualistic as they want to in the process of looking after and decorating their Christmas tree. These are the traditions that have undergone a lot of change with time. The word carol represents a festive song mostly associated with the festival of Christmas. Christmas is very fun. I enjoyed much. My Christmas vacation was great and perfect and I hope your Christmas vacation also. And that's the essence of Christmas for me. 

Equal Rights : Equal Opportunities

Men and Women Should be Equal

Along time ago, the majority of people believed that men should work harder than women because they are responsible financially to feed and support their families. No man is an island but all people have the equal right and equal opportunities. All of us have the right to love, right to care about someone's life or problem or state, right to move, right to dance and sing, and etc. but in short, have the right to live. Now they have many choices and opportunities; they can do anything and get involved in all areas.   Attaining justice, happiness and success, illustrate how women have gained over the years to become equal to men.

Happiness is another factor for being equal. Women were not satisfied enough because they felt they couldn't live without their men, also they couldn't be independent and they had to live this way even if they didn't want to. Satisfaction is extremely important to make life easier and nicer. Many people says that not all people are the same but for me, even though they say that no people are the same, all people have equal rights and opportunities because boys and girls have the equal purposes. they also says that "boys" have the bigger right especially when they are married. but I don't believe that. Even though boys is stronger than girls, they still have the equally to live as person or living thing. They have equality to fight and live. all people also have the rights to listen ad respect one another. 

There's need for us to unite and enable women to take their rightful place in production and political activity to improve their economic and political status. There is need to educate ourselves and others to take a more correct view of women and to actively redress the injustices done to women in all our institutions such as the Church, state and family. We should be aware that the liberation of women from these injustices is part and parcel of the liberation of all the poor and oppressed. The women's struggle is deeply connected with efforts of all the poor who are struggling for their upliftment in all aspects of life.

Climate Change

Attention has begun to shift from local, short-term seasonal patterns of temperature, rainfall, other elements of the weather, toward longer-term trends that can affect the entire Earth, see long-term weather trends are called "climate.” It is therefore important understand the difference, as well as the relation, between "weather" and "climate."We all know now that climate change is exceeding today.  And climate is changing. It is also the general weather conditions that typical of it. And we all know that climate is slightly dangerous for all people here in the world.

            There are also different climate changes such as global warming or El Nino. Global climate has been changing and still continue to change. Over a long period of time, climatic fluctuations may be such that, a shift in type of climate prevailing over a given area, takes place.

 Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions. Climate change is caused by factors that include oceanic circulation, and climate change is often used to describe human specific impacts. Climate change exceeds only when heat or amount of heat that let into the system changes or the amount of the heat that is let out of the system changes. 

Reflection

Information and Communications Technology or simply ICT was a very informative and interesting class. It was taught by Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz and also our practice teacher Ms. Melany Queyquep, who a wonderful persons and excellent teachers. We covered lots of criteria material and discussed topics during the tenure of the class. We also learned many computer skills which were great compliments to the many grammar and writing skills learned.  

 Blogger was a major part of the class. We learned a lot. Like making our blogger. Posting blogs in the blogger and a lot more. while I am making or writing my draft, each essay have knowledge and good and each essay taught us about a different style or form of writing. The most difficult essay for me to write was about the Scientricity: Energizing Science Clubbers for Sustainable Energy. For my scientricy essay I supported my essay by taking the meaning in every word of the theme. I got difficulty in making it. I can honestly say my essay skills have improved tremendously more than the past essay I’ve done.

Not only about ICT that I’ve learned. Also other aspects of being a woman and a person in this world. I learned how to get hurt. I learned also how to forgive, how to understand people around me. And this was definitely one of my favorite classes this semester. I can honestly say I will leave this class a better reader, writer, evaluator, and reviewer.  As a bonus I even learned how to use the Notepad, a simple text editor for Microsoft Windows and it is also the common text-only (plain text) editor.  I really enjoyed working with my class mates and will leave with new friends. My interest in playing computers and posting blogs in the blogger has increased tremendously, thanks to our loving, caring, understanding and beautiful subject teacher Mrs. Evelyn Vera Cruz and to our beautiful and joyful practice teacher, Ms. Melany Queyquep.   Overall it has been a wonderful experience to enjoy.

Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence

We all know that English is very important. English is a language of England and not only England people is using English language, also Filipinos and other citizens or country have the right to use this.

In order to get the effectiveness, adaption and views of the students and teachers, we examine the development in the field of teachings and understandings. The study includes the role of the teachers to initiate the best teachings strategies, the achievement in improving the language skills and method for evaluating their quality and the validity of their outcomes. English Proficiency is the biggest competitive advantage in the global job market today especially in maritime business.   Now, we are aiming to focus on the growth of English Proficiency as it continues to decline. As the students, are aiming to work also in international companies. Since, we know, things like international treaties, signing business contracts, job examinations and interviews are usually done in English. Employers in today’s global market want people to have a good qualification that are recognized all over the world and also high proficiency in spoken and written English.

Upholding English Proficiency for Communicative Competence. For me, the meaning is to maintain having ability or skills in English for effective communication. It is important to learn how to speak English because I think this is the only way to have a better communication or conversation with other people even though we are in other country or wherever we are, I know and I believe that having an ability or skill in English can help us a lot to communicate better and to understand better in order to achieve improvement in communicating with others.

To be understood, you've got to be good! You won't get your message over, if you don't understand it yourself! Spell it right, and tell it right! Get the language right, and the message will get there! Your knowledge of English is a tool; be a good workman and use it efficiently! The foundations are in place; what will you build on them?
